Giveaway TIME & Review!!!

I had the pleasure to get to read a Poem book, for Mothers and Daughters . It was a very good, it made me laugh and smile as well as think too. A perfect Gift for Mothers day coming up For either your Mother or your Daughter. Be sure to pick up a copy for yourself . The book I'm talking about is called "B" by Sara Kay, Sara Kay has been performing poet since she was 14 years old. She is a founder and co=director of project V,O,I,C,E, ( Vocal Outreach into Creative Expression), Which encourages people to use spoken word poetry as a tool for personal and world understanding, and as a medium for vital expression, teaching poetry and self-expression at schools across the U.S.A. As a young teen hiding under the counter at the Bowery Poetry Club in Manhattans East Village, she soon shook off fears to take the stagger amidst poets at least a decade her senior and honed her poignant funny and powerful style.

A little snippet of a Q&A with Sara Kay:

Question: Are your parents poets? Did they influence your interest in poetry?

Sara Kay: "From kindergarten through fourth grade I bought my lunch to school with me every day. And everyday for those five years, one of my parents wrote me a poem and tucked it into my lunch box. It was usually on a colored piece of paper, folded in half They were short poems that were sort of Dr. Suess-y or Shel Silverstrin-esque. They made poetry something to look forward to. Each note was a story, a message, a secret, a rhyme, each note made me stop whatever I was doing and surrender to the surprise inside. I don't think either of them considers themselves poets, but they defiantly gave me a hunger(wink!) for poetry."

"B" is about mothers and Daughters and the wisdom and hope that is shared- and sometimes lost- between the two. Its a thank you note, love letter, wish ,promise, confession, and a secret all at once. With illustrations by Sophia Janowitz and dreamy endpapers, this sleek, blue volume will be passed between mothers and daughters and granddaughters for generations.

A snippet of the book: "So the first time she realizes that Wonder Woman isn't coming. I'll make sure she knows she doesn't have to wear the cape all by herself........"
"........But I want her to know that this world is made of sugar: it can crumble so easily, but don't be afraid to stick your tongue out and taste it."
